DHX MEDIA SIGNS DIGITAL, LINEAR TV AND HOME ENTERTAINMENT CONTENT LICENSES IN CANADA

Halifax, NS – 22 March 2013 – DHX Media Ltd. (TSX: DHX), a leading independent producer, distributor and licensor of mainly children’s entertainment content is pleased to announce licenses in Canada to BlackBerry®, the CBC and Berkshire Axis Media Distribution.

DHX Media has signed a deal with mobile content platform provider BlackBerry® for 1000 episodes of programming which will be available across the UK, US and Canada. The deal includes titles such as Inspector Gadget, perennial favourite Sonic the Hedgehog and several its Movie Toons titles.

Berkshire Axis Media Distribution (BAM) in Canada has also signed a six-year home entertainment deal for a range of titles including Mona the Vampire and Are you Afraid of the Dark? BAM will be releasing titles in both French and English.

Canadian broadcaster CBC has renewed seasons 1, 2 and 3 of the preschool stop-motion comedy animationPOKO.  POKO has aired on Kids CBC for nine years and can be seen weekdays at 10:00am.
